22MW English solar farm approved

Renewable Connections’ 22MW Old Hall Solar Farm near Ragdale, Leicestershire, England, approved by Melton Borough Council and Charnwood Borough Council. The project developed in partnership with European Energy (EE) will deliver green energy to 5500 homes annually, saving 2873 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Philip Hale, chief operating officer of Renewable Connections, expressed delight for the project's approval and highlighted the benefits of solar energy. The solar farm project aims to enhance biodiversity in the area, covering 44.8 hectares of land and using photovoltaic panels to generate renewable electricity.
