Pacific Green launches EPBC application for 2.5GWh BESS in Victoria, Australia

Pacific Green has recently secured consent for its 1.5GWh Limestone Coast Energy Park in South Australia and its 1GW/2.5GWh Portland battery energy storage system in Victoria. These projects are part of an 8.5GWh development pipeline across Australia. The Portland Energy Park will feature multiple 250MW 'battery parks' and will be strategically positioned to support the uptake of renewable energy projects in the area. Construction for the Portland BESS is set to commence in 2025, with operations beginning in 2027.
