Oz offshore project secures feasibility licence

Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy has granted a feasibility licence for the 1.2GW Spinifex offshore wind project in the Southern Ocean off the Victorian coast. The project, developed by Alinta Energy and Parkwind, aims to power communities and industries in Southwest Victoria with reliable renewables. Minister Chris Bowen sees this as an opportunity for regional Australia to create high-value jobs and a sustainable future.
