3D printed clamps for front-surface PV mounting on wood racking

Researchers from Canada’s University of Western Ontario have developed and tested 3D-printed mounting mechanisms for wood racking of PV modules. These mechanisms are claimed to be cheaper, have lower embodied energy and carbon, and offer advantages like ease of distributed manufacturing and no corrosion. The designs include T-shaped and U-shaped clamps, as well as spacers, all simulating to support 410 W modules.
