ABB has delivered an automation solution for 10 GW of renewable energy plants in India, using its Internet of Things (IoT)-based PLC solution. The solution helps gather and analyze real-time data for optimal plant operation, efficient operations of hybrid plants, and balancing intermittent availability of renewable energy. ABB's cybersecure SCADA system, along with its AC500 PLC, monitors key parameters and regulates plant operations in compliance with Indian grid code guidelines. The company partners with major EPC companies building projects across India.
