Acciona finishes PV-powered irrigation system without batteries

Spanish renewable energy company Acciona Energía commissioned the largest photovoltaic plant in the world associated with an irrigation system. The 1.58 MW solar plant in Montesusín, near Huesca, directly powers irrigation pumps for 150 irrigators across 3,400 hectares. It incorporates innovative technology to stabilize energy injection, address intermittent power issues without batteries, and enhance irrigation efficiency.
