Acciona secures Croatian CfD for solar site

Acciona Energía has secured a 12-year Contract for Difference (CfD) for the 189MWp Promina photovoltaic plant in Croatia. The plant will be the largest solar plant in the country generating 320GWh of clean electricity per year and preventing the emission of around 140,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. The CfD was allocated through a competitive public auction approved by the European Commission. The project includes building a new 400kV interconnection substation and is part of Acciona Energía's Social Impact Management programme, focusing on community improvement and environmental management.
