Acelen-owned refinery to invest in 161-MW solar complex in Brazil

Acelen's subsidiary Mataripe Refinery partners with Perfin Infra Administracao de Recursos and Illian Energias Renovaveis for a 161-MW solar project in Bahia, investing BRL 530 million. The project will offset 128,000 tonnes of CO2 per year and zero out scope 2 emissions. The solar plant is expected to start operations in Q3 2025. Acelen will receive the carbon credits.
