ACME Solar files request for $359.13 million IPO

India-based Acme Solar Holdings has filed its draft red herring prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise INR 3,000 crore through an IPO. ACME Solar plans to use the net proceeds for repayment/prepayment of outstanding borrowings and general corporate purposes. It is one of India's largest private-sector renewable energy producers with diversified operational and under-construction solar projects. ACME Solar generates revenue by selling electricity to various off-takers.
