Albania, Bulgaria join European platform for guarantees of origin AIB

Albania and Bulgaria have become new members of the Association of Issuing Bodies along with other countries in the Western Balkans. The organization facilitates the exchange of guarantees of origin. Membership in the EECS Electricity Scheme Group allows the issuance and transfer of EECS GOs. A roadmap is being developed to recognize guarantees of origin from contracting parties of the Energy Community in the EU. Elton Radeshi, General Secretary of ERE, highlighted the added value of green electricity production in Albania through participation in AIB and the European system of guarantees of origin.
