Albania declares eight winners at 300 MW solar power auction

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy in Albania awarded 283.9 MW out of the 300 MW quota in an auction for CfD market premiums for photovoltaic projects. Eight consortiums won 15-year PPAs for solar power projects, with bids exceeding the quota. The lowest offer was EUR 39.7 per MWh. Investors were required to secure land rights. Voltalia's bid for 70 MW was set aside as a reserve due to exceeding the available capacity. Solar projects are planned across Albania. Network capacity study will be conducted for future solar and wind power plant locations.
