Amea Power starts building 120 MW solar plant in Tunisia

Amea Power, a Dubai-based company, has initiated the construction of a 120 MW solar plant in northeastern Tunisia. Financially backed by International Finance Corp. and the African Development Bank, the project is scheduled to be operational by the final quarter of 2025, benefiting 43,000 households. The chairman of Amea Power, Hussain Al Nowais, highlights Tunisia's potential in renewable energy and green trade. The project marks Tunisia's first privately-financed solar initiative.
