Ameren Missouri acquires 150MW PV plant in Illinois

Ameren Missouri plans to add 2.8GW of solar capacity by 2030. Ameren Missouri acquired a 150MW solar PV project in Illinois. The Cass County Renewable Energy Center is under construction and was previously owned by Savion, a subsidiary of Shell. Ameren Missouri's Renewable Solutions Program will be expanded using the Cass County project. Mark Birk, chairman and president of Ameren Missouri, mentioned the strong demand for sustainable programs. RWE, a German utility, started constructing a 150MW PV project in Illinois under PPA contracts.
