ANRE: The tariff surge for system services by 40% will have little effect on bills

The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) announces a tariff surge of 40% for system services, which will have little effect on electricity bills. The increase in the annual bill for users with a consumption of 1-1.5 MWh is estimated to be a maximum of 3.7-5.5 lei/year. ANRE states that the tariff increase does not impact bills for household consumers. The purchase of system services covers Transelectrica S.A.'s costs with capacity reserves to ensure safe operation of the electric power system. ANRE emphasizes the significant increase in purchase prices for capacity reserves in 2024.
