Argentina's Pampa Energia unveils 140-MW wind farm in Buenos Aires

Argentine power producer Pampa Energia inaugurated a 140-MW wind farm in Buenos Aires province. The project, named Parque Eolico Pampa Energia VI (PEPE VI), involved an investment of USD 260 million. PEPE VI is connected to a 500-kV transmission line, making it the first wind farm in Argentina to do so. Pampa Energia now has a total installed wind power capacity of 427 MW, with multiple wind farms in Buenos Aires province and one in La Rioja province. In addition to wind power, Pampa Energia operates thermal power plants and hydroelectric stations.
