Arkansas solar plant starts operations

Entergy Arkansas has started operating a 100MW solar plant named Walnut Bend Solar Energy Center in Arkansas, acquired from Invenergy. Laura Landreaux, President and CEO of Entergy Arkansas, highlights the significance of the new addition to their generation fleet. Mick Baird, Chief Development Officer at Invenergy, expresses their pride in supporting Entergy's solar power portfolio. The facility will generate annual property taxes for Lee County and uses bifacial solar panels with tracking equipment to maximize energy production. Senator Ron Caldwell welcomes the facility to his district. Entergy Arkansas has other solar resources in operation and plans to bring more online in the coming years.
