Asia leads charge in renewable energy growth

Asia is experiencing phenomenal economic growth, with a rising energy demand and a positive forecast for power demand. Governments in the region are accelerating renewable energy development, resulting in Asia surpassing North America and Europe in renewable energy generation. China leads in global renewable energy, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2060. The Middle East also shows significant growth in renewable energy capacity. Globally, renewable capacity expanded by 9.6 percent in 2022, with a notable increase in wind and solar installations.
