Atlas selects Sungrow's PowerTitan for 200-MW BESS project in Chile

China’s Sungrow Power Supply Co Ltd has secured a contract to supply its liquid cooling storage system, PowerTitan, for a 200-MW battery energy storage system project in Chile’s Atacama Desert. The BESS project, named BESS del Desierto, will have a storage capacity of 800 MWh. Sungrow's PowerTitan solution offers various features for the desert environment. The project also involves Portuguese contractor CJR Renewables. Atlas Renewable Energy is the renewables firm contracting Sungrow for this project.
