Australian state launches plan to install 7.6 GW of solar by 2035

The Victorian government of Australia has outlined a roadmap, 'Cheaper, Cleaner, Renewable: Our Plan for Victoria’s Electricity Future', to achieve 95% renewable generation by 2035 and net-zero by 2045. The plan involves increasing rooftop solar, offshore wind, and renewables, with an estimated AUD 35 billion capital investment needed. It focuses on a big renewable energy build, transitioning away from fossil fuels, and creating jobs and supply chains in the energy sector.
