Avaada Energy wins 280 MW solar project in India with $0.032/kWh bid

Avaada Energy, a unit of Avaada Group, has won a 280 MW solar project from RUVNL in Rajasthan, India. The project aims to supply power to RUVNL for 25 years at a tariff of INR 2.62 ($0.032)/kWh. The estimated annual power generation is 500 million units, reducing 465,500 tons of CO2 emissions annually and potentially powering 3.6 lakh households with green energy. Avaada Group is engaged in various energy-related businesses, with a renewable energy portfolio of 4 GW and aims to reach 11 GW by 2026 and 30 GW by 2030. They have received strategic investment from GPSC, a subsidiary of the Thailand-based PTT Group.
