Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, Romania establish firm for Black Sea interconnector

Transelectrica, Georgian State Electrosystem, AzerEnerji, and MVM have established Green Energy Corridor Power Company to install a submarine cable under the Black Sea. The project aims to link Romania, Georgia, Hungary, and Azerbaijan's transmission networks, facilitating renewable electricity flow. Minister of Energy Sebastian Burduja highlighted the importance of decarbonization and renewable energy in the project.
