Azerbaijan gives green light to 760 MW of solar

Masdar is developing two new solar projects in Azerbaijan with a total capacity of 1 GW. Azerbaijan and Masdar have signed agreements for the 445 MW Bilasuvar PV project and the 315 MW Neftchala solar plant. The projects aim to generate 2.3 billion kWh of electricity per year. Azerbaijan targets 30% renewable energy by 2030, with current total solar capacity at 282 MW.
