Azerbaijan launches LiDAR campaign

The Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency has launched its first offshore wind measurement campaign in collaboration with Finland's Vaisala. The project aims to explore and harness offshore wind energy potential, aligning with Azerbaijan's Social-Economic Development Strategy 2022-2026. Two LiDAR devices have been installed at designated sites to measure wind speed and direction using laser beams.
