Belgian steel wire company inks virtual PPA for wind farm in Romania

N.V. Bekaert, a Belgium-based steel wire transformation and coatings producer, has secured 100 GWh from a wind farm in Romania under a power purchase agreement. The company has signed a 10-year virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA) with First Looks Solutions S.R.L., a project firm established by Rezolv Energy. The power will come from the Vifor wind farm project, developed by Rezolv and Low Carbon in Buzău County, northeast of capital Bucharest. The agreement is a significant step in Bekaert's sustainability strategy 'Creating a Better Tomorrow'.
