Better Energy delays 3GW Danish PV portfolio, blames ‘lagging’ demand

Better Energy, a Danish independent power producer, has decided to delay the development of a 3GW solar PV portfolio in Denmark beyond 2030 due to renewable energy demand lagging behind capacity rollout. The company's CEO, Rasmus Lildholdt Kjær, emphasized the importance of aligning towards the market situation by focusing on green energy in the right place at the right time. Better Energy will now prioritize opportunities that combine new green capacity with new consumption and carefully consider the timing and location of projects in response to market signals like negative electricity prices across Europe.
