The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) completes final environmental assessment of wind energy area in US Gulf of Maine. Department of the Interior proposes offshore wind energy lease sale in Gulf of Maine with potential of 15 GW floating offshore wind energy. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland announces new five-year offshore wind leasing schedule including Gulf of Maine sales in October 2024 and 2028. Next step expected to be publication of final sale notice.
