BOEM finalises review of Oregon lease sites

The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has completed its final Environmental Assessment (EA) of possible impacts for offshore wind leases of the coast of Oregon. The EA concluded that lease issuance would have no significant impacts to people or the environment, the regulator said. Public comment for the review ended on June 14. The Department of the Interior proposed an offshore wind lease sale for two areas in Oregon back in April, and expects to hold a lease sale for the areas later this year.
