Brazil hits 30 GW milestone

Brazil has reached 30 GW of installed solar power, with around 15 GW deployed in the last 17 months. Approximately 21 GW of the total capacity comes from distributed generation systems. Brazilian developers deployed around 4.39 GW of new PV capacity in the first five months of 2023. The remaining capacity is represented by large scale solar plants. The distributed solar generation includes residential PV systems and systems installed at the consumption site supplying energy to the unit.
