The Brazilian Minister of Energy and Mining has unveiled an auction for battery energy storage projects to be held in 2025. The purpose of the battery auction is to boost battery technology in Brazil and attract technology producers like Huawei. The news was welcomed by ABSAE. Brazil lags behind Chile in energy storage, where major projects are being built. Energy-Storage.news reported a grid-scale BESS project in Brazil by ISA CTEEP.
