Brazil's Eletrobras inks green H2 pacts with Ceara, Green Energy Park

Brazilian power distributor Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (BVMF:ELET6), or Eletrobras, has signed MoUs with the government of Ceara state and with European company Green Energy Park (GEP) for the production of renewable energy and green hydrogen. The agreements aim to develop projects for energy transition, decarbonisation, and promotion of low-carbon hydrogen and its derivatives such as green ammonia. Eletrobras will supply renewable energy and green hydrogen to industrial projects in Ceara and collaborate with GEP to produce green hydrogen at competitive prices.
