Brazil's Goias approves 450-MWp solar complex project

The Brazilian state of Goias has issued a preliminary licence for the 450-MWp Barro Alto Photovoltaic (PV) Complex. The complex will be built in a 500-hectare area in the municipality of Vila Propicio at a total cost of around BRL 1.3 billion. The Barro Alto facility is expected to power part of the projects of Newave Energia and the remaining output will be sold in the country's free market.
