Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul agrees green hydrogen pact

The government of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul partners with agrotech Begreen Bioenergia e Fertilizantes Sustentaveis SA in green hydrogen projects, signing a memorandum of understanding for three plants in Passo Fundo, Tio Hugo, and Condor with a production capacity of 8,000 tons of ammonia per year. Initial operation expected by 2027 with an investment of BRL 150 million.
