Brazilian manufacturer unveils 1 kg BIPV module

Eternit, a Brazil-based construction materials supplier, introduced a new lightweight solar module for BIPV applications at Intersolar South America. The module has monocrystalline PERC solar cells producing 50W of power. Inmetro has certified the module. Eternit aims to expand its presence in the solar energy sector nationwide with its Solar Leaf, which comes with a 10-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty.
