Brookfield acquires controlling stake in Leap Green Energy

Brookfield has acquired a majority stake in Leap Green Energy, an Indian renewable energy company focused on the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment. The investment of over $200 million will support Leap Green's growth ambitions in India's rapidly expanding C&I segment. Brookfield plans to collaborate with Leap Green to enhance capabilities and expand to 3 GW in the next four to five years. Leap Green has a wind and solar asset base of 775 MW and is expanding services in Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and other Indian states.
