Bulgartransgaz picks two consortia for Vertical Gas Corridor expansion

Bulgarian state-owned gas transmission operator Bulgartransgaz has selected two consortia to expand infrastructure and build a gas corridor linking Greece and northern Europe. The project involves bidirectional gas transmission among Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldova, and Slovakia. The tender includes planning, design, construction, and commissioning of new sites at interconnection points. The selected consortia are DZZD Hill International-GBS and DZZD Negru Voda Kardam 2024, and they will work on different sections of the project. Bulgartransgaz aims to increase transmission capacity between Greece and Bulgaria, as well as from Bulgaria to Romania.
