Burduja: By April 1, 2025, we will have a definition of the vulnerable consumer

The Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, announced the plan to establish a definition of the vulnerable consumer in the energy sector by April 1, 2025, in order to tailor support measures based on the level of consumption. Distributors are required to invest in the network, utilizing non-refundable money to improve infrastructure. The market price is regulated by law, preventing suppliers from gaining excess profits. The compensation scheme is funded by taxes on energy sector companies' incomes.
