An international research team has successfully fabricated a perovskite solar cell based on cadmium-doped FAPbI3 absorber. The introduction of cadmium iodide (CdI2) aimed to stabilize the blade coating process and improve the performance of the solar cell by reducing non-radiative recombination rates. The device achieved an efficiency of 22.7% under standard illumination conditions.
