Carbon-based perovskite solar cell without hole transport layer achieves 14.15% efficiency

A group of scientists from Beihang University in China have developed a carbon-based all-inorganic perovskite solar cell without an expensive hole transport layer. The cell architecture compensates for the absence of the HTL by engineering the surface composition of the perovskite film, enabling high efficiency and stability.
