Catalyze locks funding for 79 MW of community DG solar in New York

US clean energy transition company Catalyze has obtained debt financing from NY Green Bank to back a 79-MW portfolio of community distributed generation (DG) solar projects across New York State. The division of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has provided USD 100 million (EUR 91.9m), Catalyze said on Wednesday. According to its statement, the transaction is NY Green Bank’s first term loan using a sale-leaseback structure for a community DG portfolio, coupled with a minimum 65% subscriber commitment. Specific details about the projects that will benefit from the funding were not available.
