CATL and Gotion deny forced labour in supply chain after US lawmakers call for immediate blocking of shipments

CATL is the largest lithium-ion manufacturer in the world and also a major provider of BESS. US lawmakers have accused CATL and Gotion High-Tech of having supply chain connections to forced labour and Uyghur oppression in China. The two companies deny the allegations and there is a growing trade war tension between the US and China.
