CATL provided details about its new grid-scale BESS product, Tener, at Intersolar / Smarter E Europe 2024 in Munich. The product claims zero degradation for the first five years of operation by combining pre-lithiation and reducing lithium-ion consumption. Rolls-Royce announced a partnership with CATL for projects in the EU and the UK. The technology has been applied to BESS due to the market demands for long battery lifetime.
