China’s Hunan Rich plans 1 GW solar panel factory in Serbia

Hunan Rich Photovoltaic from China and Serbia’s Minister of Mining and Energy signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of a solar panel factory and solar plant in Serbia. The Chinese company will invest €30 million in a 1 GW solar panel factory in Paraćin and €280 million in a 200 MW solar power plant. Another agreement with China Energy International Group involves a €2 billion investment in an oil processing plant in eastern Serbia. These projects are expected to create 700 direct jobs and 2,400 indirect jobs, supporting Serbia's renewable energy goals.
