China to impose stricter requirements on PV manufacturing

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has submitted a revision of the 'Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry Normative Conditions' policy for public consultation. The policy focuses on requirements for new construction and expansion projects in the PV manufacturing segments, emphasizing investment ratios, production layout, technological processes, energy consumption, efficiency standards, environmental protection, and more. Key amendments include increasing the minimum capital ratio for new projects, enhancing efficiency requirements for solar cells and modules, and adjusting energy and water consumption standards.
