Chinese PV Industry Brief: January-May installations hit 79.15 GW

The NEA reported that PV developers in China installed 79.15 GW of new solar from January to May, with significant growth in both solar and wind power capacity. KStar plans a private placement of CNY 1.25 billion for expanding production bases and research center in Fuzhou. Sungrow signed a supply agreement with Atlas Renewable Energy for an energy storage system in Chile's Atacama Desert. JinkoSolar announced a share repurchase plan. Additionally, the world's largest sodium-ion battery project commenced operations in Qianjiang, Hubei Province.
