Clean energy investment in 2024 to hit USD 2 trillion, nearly double compared to fossil fuels

Global investment in clean energy technologies and infrastructure in 2024 is expected to amount to USD 2 trillion, almost double the spending on fossil fuels. Supply chain improvements and lower prices of clean technologies are driving the growth in clean energy investment. Solar PV is leading the power sector transformation with an expected investment of USD 500 billion in 2024. Investment in battery storage and grids is also increasing.
