Clearway closes US$700 million financing on California solar and storage portfolio

Renewables developer Clearway Energy Group has closed a US$700 million construction financing on a portfolio of solar and storage projects in California. Clearway is constructing a 200MW solar PV plant in Fresno and a 113.5MW standalone battery energy storage system in San Bernadino, both expected to be operational in 2025. Blattner Energy is managing the construction. Clearway has secured power purchase agreements with various utilities for these projects.
