Corio, EBR sign pact tied to 2.4 GW of offshore wind in Brazil

Offshore wind developer Corio Generation and Brazilian shipyard and marine construction company Estaleiros do Brasil (EBR) have signed an agreement to explore the use of EBR's infrastructure for deploying 2,400 MW of offshore wind capacity in Rio Grande do Sul state. Corio plans to develop two offshore wind parks in Brazil with more than 1,200 MW capacity each. The article discusses the potential of Brazil's coastline for offshore wind energy development and the collaboration between Corio, EBR, and local firm Servtec.
