Corio signs NOU with Brazilian shipyard

Corio Generation and EBR signed a MOU to explore the development of offshore wind off Brazil's south coast. EBR's infrastructure near Rio Grande port may support two windfarms, Cassino Offshore Wind and Rio Grande Offshore Wind projects. Corio plans to develop five offshore windfarms in Brazil with up to 6GW capacity. EBR CEO Wataru Nosaka mentioned synergies between offshore wind projects and the oil and gas industry, welcoming the opportunity for EBR and São José do Norte region to become the center of offshore wind in south Brazil.
