Could California’s residential solar fortunes turn despite NEM 3.0?

Enphase Energy, a US-based inverter producer, released a product to increase access to solar for legacy net energy metering (NEM) customers in California. The state's residential solar market faced challenges after the NEM 3.0 legislation was enacted, impacting companies like SunPower, SunRun, Titan Solar Power, and Lumio. Enphase's solution was approved by state utilities PG&E, SCE, with SDG&E expected to follow. The product 'Energy Systems' allows consumers to add independent solar arrays, aiming to boost California's residential solar capacity.
