Crețu: Without investments in new CHPs, Bucharest will be without heat and hot water in a few years

The general director of Electrocentrale Bucharest (ELCEN), Claudiu Crețu, emphasized the urgent need for new investments in new CHPs to prevent Bucharest from being left without heat and hot water in a few years. The merger between Termoenergetica and ELCEN has been a long-discussed solution, with a significant debt of one billion lei owed by Termoenergetica to ELCEN, posing a risk of bankruptcy for ELCEN.
